Today, I'm putting that part of the site to sleep: No Idea, No Spark is no more. Well, temporarily no more. I'm retiring it for now. Why retire instead of quit? Well, because it's really annoying when people "quit" their journals and then come back a week later. They post these long-winded "I loved journalling, but I can do it no longer, I love you all, all my wonderful fans" entries, and then everyone links them and moans and wails about what an awful loss it is, and then they change their mind and post a Triumphal Return entry all about how they realized that they really and truly can't live without online journalling, how it is a part of who they are. You can't undo quitting without looking like a fool, but you can undo retiring. You know, sometimes people retire and come back if the circumstances are right. Like Michael Jordan. So I might un-retire it someday. I don't know when, but maybe. Yeah. You can just imagine that No Idea, No Spark is off playing golf somewhere warm this winter.

There will also be some changes to ATR. I'm going to shift the focus back to blabbing about music and the web, and move all the personal content over to a brand-spankin' new personal blog called Vignettes, which isn't ready yet. Vignettes will take the place of the old journal. What does this mean to you? Well, if you liked the personal aspect of ATR, you'll like Vignettes. If you read the old journal and are completely lost when I start writing about music, you'll like Vignettes. If you hated the personal content of ATR and wished I would just shut up about Aaron and bitch about webzines some more, well, you can just pretend that Vignettes doesn't exist. We'll all get what we want, we'll all be happy, the sun will shine, the birds will sing, etc.

No cam yet. Sorry. I left town this weekend instead of toiling in front of the computer. I love checking my stats and finding out that people are looking for the cam. People, you'll be the first to know when it happens. I'm not going to hide it once it's ready.

Oh, and Aaron beat me at Trivial Pursuit. But just by a hair. It was lucky dice-rollling on his part. He's let it go to his head, so it will be all the more exciting to give him the smackdown at a later date.
